Kickboxing

A generic name for the modern sport version of the traditional martial arts. Classes involve learning punch, kick and strike combinations, use of training pads and punch bags.

Fitness and stamina work are also a big part of the training. As well as getting all the benefits of traditional Martial Arts training, Kickboxing is also great for fitness, stress relief and overall body toning and strength.

Classes for Juniors (12 - 16) Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30

Classes for Adults Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30

Mixed class, Sunday at 4:45

History of Kick-Boxing

Kick-Boxing is a relatively new discipline in the field of Martial Arts with a history of approximately 50 years. Born in the USA, kick-boxing was originally influenced by the incredibly hard discipline of Thai-Boxing. The art of kick-boxing is regulated for safety reasons but even with these rules, a fighter can still develop a good, kicking, punching, elbowing and kneeing skill.
